The performance program "The Athlete" is a powerful adventure in your own performance improvement that we will assist and support for more than 6 months. Our main objective is to immediately equip you with all of the theory, discuss our experiences, and begin mindfulness training. This is done in plenary meetings, both physically and virtually. In addition, we meet with you one-on-one to design a program to your specific requirements. You must be prepared to make your own efforts throughout the term. We do not believe in mental miracles; transformation occurs via action. Hopefully, your transformation process will continue beyond the program and become a lifetime race.

The program "Our Way - The Athlete", is offered by H2B in collaboration with FK Bodø/Glimt. Bjørn has worked closely with the development around the A-team since 2017, both on an individual and group level. Gunn Elisabeth has worked with management and team development in the club since 2022 - in the team around the team.

We would like to share our experiences with you

Glimt's success from 2017 until now is largely attributed to establishing a performance culture. A strong conviction in performance concentration propelled the squad, and eventually the club, on a lengthy journey from a traditional results-focused culture to a pure performance culture in 2019. It takes time to alter the way we think as individuals, and especially as a team. There is a lot that has to be put in place, a lot of training to be done, and some trial and error has occurred.

We believe that the finest performances are always ahead of us. Changing behaviours sometimes entails taking a few little steps and improving somewhat. What matters is a little amount of change over time. If we can detect progress and realise that it is genuinely working, we will feel mastery and motivated.

The coaching team comprises of Bjørn and Gunn Elisabeth, mental trainer Barbro Saetha, and physiotherapy and mindfulness trainer Tore Bjørkli.

Performance program "The Athlete"

"The Athlete" is a performance program that is relevant to all of us. The program is intended to secure and strengthen the very foundation of the athlete - and yes, you are the athlete! We refer to this as sustainability in the form of "the power to carry". Of course, we also want to increase the ability to perform. And not least optimize our own development - as a person and as an athlete. For us, it is important to establish arenas where we facilitate learning, sharing and not least training. We administer and follow up, ensure that we meet regularly for a joint session, and an individual conversation.

The individual will be the focus throughout the program and basic mental training will be taught. To ensure tailoring to the individual, the lessons will be followed up with one-on-one conversations. In these conversations, personal development will be fundamental. In the program, mindfulness training will be a consistent theme. We want you to train as much as possible in your everyday life, and we will help you find good training arenas both at work and not least in your private life. To further minimize the use of your time, we use digital solutions to the extent that it is appropriate. Then you will take your share of responsibility and train between meetings. We take on the role of trainers and use some simple tools and follow our basic performance principle: Keep focus on the right things - those that we can do something about.

The duration of the program is approximately 6 months. There will be a physical start-up and end-of-course meeting in Bodø. In addition, three digital meetings and six digital one-on-one conversations of approximately 45 minutes are offered. In addition, a follow-up one-on-one conversation is offered approximately 3 months after program completion.
